My pavilion dv7-6b04eg currently has Intel Core i5-2430M processor.

 

Which i7 processors would fit for an upgrade?

The processor is not soldered to the motherboard, and the best you processor you can upgrade to would be the Intel Core i7-2640M 2.80-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.50-GHz) processor (1333-MHz FSB, 4.0-MB L3 cache, dual core, 35 W), because the quad core processors use a different motherboard, according to chapter 3.
