HP Pavilion g6
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello

I need to replace the hard drive in a Pavilion g6 laptop and it currently has a 256 GB SATA drive in it. I want to replace it with the largest SSD drive that it will accept as far as the BIOS and OS are concerned. Can anyone provide some guidance as to what drive to select?

Thanks

Hi:

The g6 model series has been retired by HP, so there is only scant info online, and since you didn't provide the full model number of your notebook (there were hundreds of different model g6 notebooks spanning at least 3 years), it is hard to answer your question as you put it.

I think I would be safe in assuming your notebook can support a 1 TB 2.5" SATA SSD regardless of its age.
