Hi:

 

There is no such thing as single or dual channel memory.

 

Single or dual channel is how the memory runs.

 

Your notebook supports dual channel memory mode if you install matching capacities of memory in each slot.

 

For example, 2 x 2 GB, 2 x 4 GB.

 

With only one 2 GB memory chip installed and the other slot empty, the memory runs in single channel mode.

 

With a 2 GB + a 4 GB memory chip installed for example; the memory also runs in single channel mode.
