Is it a Pavilion machine or just HP Notebook 14-dq1039wm ? Its specs

If yes, it has 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) now. You can upgrade to
(a) 16GB: add same existing RAM to slot 2 or using the following compatible RAM

(b) 16GB: install 8GB each to both slots using the following compatible RAM
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k8g4sfra266/ct18800152
(c) 32GB: install 16GB each to both slots using the following compatible RAM
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd8266/ct16305291
