I just purchased an HP Pavilion laptop model 15-eg3053cl from Costco. The power cord it came with is 45W. It also has a USB-C port that has a lightening bolt next to it. I would like to use this laptop with my Dell docking station (model WD19TB) which I normally use with my Dell laptop that has a 65W power cord. Since the docking station provides both power and connection to peripherals and multiple monitors, I am wondering:
1. Is the HP laptop compatible with the Dell docking station?
2. Will the Dell docking station power the HP laptop? (If not, and the USB-C only provides power OUT, will plugging the power-providing docking station cause any problems with my laptop?)
