Pavilion 15-au007ni
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There have been multiple threads opened up reporting this issue, to which no solution has been found. Personally I find this issue to happen the most when I have just started the laptop. If this is a hardware issue, and in light of the multiple users affected, HP should fix these units - for free. It is not fair to have to pay for a laptop I take absolute deep care for to get a hardware issue I could not prevent fixed.

Yes, my warranty expired.

My pointless 1 year warranty.

@loretzarlen Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting static noise while you plug the charger.

Please let me know static is coming from the speakers.

Please connect the charger to the different wall outlets and check.

If you have a spare power adapter, connect to the laptop and check for the issue.

Please perform the hard reset and check.

Hard Reset:

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.

3) Remove the Battery. ( not for Built-in Battery computer )

4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.

5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer if it's a (removable battery)

6) Try to turn on the computer and check, If the issue persists continue next step

let me know how that pans out,

And the answer to the above question will help me, help you!

Keep me posted, and if any of the above questionnaires helped resolve the issue,
