I have problem with really slow laptop, so i thought i should upgrade the from 4GB to 16GB and it will help, unfortunately the upgrade didnt bring the desired performance level.

After carefully monitoring the situation I realized the Disk usage is always 100% in Task Manager.

I have 1TB HDD installed in the laptop and i was wondering if i can swap the HDD with SSD of same capacity? 2.5" SSD or M2 SSD?

If yes, is there any tutorial or instruction available plus What type of SSD I can install on the Laptop.

Thank you

Here is the Manual:

Your best option is a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. The laptop can take a SATA M.2 but in order to do that you have to also find and buy an adapter plate and cable. There is no M.2 slot on the motherboard. So you can use the same mounting plate (caddy) and cable currently used for the slow 1 TB 5400 rpm hard drive. A 2.5 inch SATA SSD is the same size and shape as a hard drive and can connect to the same hardware. So you would not need to find and buy anything except the SSD. And a 2.5 inch SATA SSD is the same speed as a SATA M.2 SSD so you lose no performance.

The price of 1 TB 2.5 inch SSDs has fallen recently but they still cost a bit more than a hard drive. You might want to consider this one from amazon india:

https://www.amazon.in/Western-Digital-Green-Internal-WDS100T2B0A/dp/B07NNRTTCM/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=1...

Above was the best price I could find for you on a mainstream SSD from a solid manufacturer.

See pages 24-30 for how to do the replacement.

Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed. Good luck.

Thank you for answering my questions quickly.

I am.in Europe right now so if you have any recommendation for any specific SSD would be appreciated.

I believe for cloning i have to use a PC to do that which can take 2 SATA.

Thank you.

Amazon Germany:

https://www.amazon.de/Samsung-MZ-76Q1T0BW-Zoll-Interne-SATA/dp/B07KSHCG3R/ref=sr_1_2?__mk_de_DE=%C3%...

For cloning your best bet is an external USB to SATA adapter like this:

https://www.amazon.de/Adapter-Konverter-Festplatten-Laufwerke-Unterst%C3%BCtzt/dp/B081W2CQ66/ref=sr_...

Use that with cloning software like Macrium Reflect Free.
