I have a question, friends. In the user manual, it says this...
"Update BIOS before adding memory modules
Before adding new memory, make sure you update the computer to the latest BIOS."
CAUTION: Failure to update the computer to the latest BIOS prior to installing new memory may result in
various system problems.
Is it absolutely necessary to do it? Has anyone upgraded their RAM without updating their BIOS?

Personally, I have not upgraded a laptop BIOS before upgrading memory.
Upgrading the BIOS should not be a problem since your laptop has a UEFI BIOS.
The latest version is F.42 from May 22,2023.

I understand, thanks for your help. The thing is, I’ve read here on the forum and on other forums as well that many people have had issues when updating the BIOS on this particular model… and the manual says that updating the BIOS is necessary before upgrading the RAM. I’d like to know if I can be sure that I can upgrade the RAM without updating the BIOS… and that I won’t have any issues.
