Like many others, I am seeking to upgrade my laptop by adding a second SSD or HDD. Unfortunately, like so many other HP owners, I'm at a loss where to find the cable that breaks this connector out into sata. There are plenty of cables on eBay (unfortunately none available from HP) however I am unsure on which cable is specific for my laptop. I am running with a HP Pavilion x360 - 14-cd2053cl.

The part number for the cable is L18218-001 

You can perform an online search with part number to find compatible part

Example

Thank you very much, does this relate to my laptop though? My model number is 14-cd2053cl, whereas the one cited by you is slightly different, are all the cXXXX models the same?
