Microsoft Windows 11

I bought a convertible laptop and recieved it the next day. The manual states to charge it before first using it, so I did that.

While setting it up I noticed the battery was being drained quite fast, the store page for my model specifies that it is up to 8 hours, however I had to put it on charge after barely 2 hours had passed.

I changed settings to have the laptop perform in a more battery conserving way, and have also changed my Edge browser settings to do the same. I use the laptop for basic tasks, mainly using the internet to access websites so there's nothing causing a high demand of power usage. I tried looking on forums here at HP, and other sites but can't find anything to solve the problem.

It is quite annoying as I have to put it on charge often despite it being brand new and only used for a few days now. The battery is built into the laptop so I can't just remove it and replace it. I have a year of warranty. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd like to add that it appears to be draining when turned off and unused for a few days too.

Any help will be appreciated.
