Hi!
I have an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-cd0xxx laptop (28/09/2018 - Warranty expired).
While opening the laptop I found that the bottom part of the touchscreen is mobile, as it is sticking out a few millimeters from the backing on both of the bottom corners. The problem gets worse the wider I open the laptop. The screen itself is not damaged, it has no problems working, the touchscreen is also working. If I gently push on the corners of the screen, it clicks back to the cover and stays put until I close and open the laptop again.
The laptop was not dropped, it always travels in a cushioned laptop sleeve and I was not even using the 360 function as the sellers warned against it (due to common hinge problems) when I bought the computer.
Is this a gluing or a hinge issue? How long would it take (approx.) for the service to fix the problem (as I use the computer for work)?
Is the screen problem a common one? Should I leave the laptop open at all times? What can I do to maintain the state of the screen until I can ship off the computer to one of the service points? My location is in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India.
Please provide me a proper solution as I found on the internet, as this issue seems to be common for this model.
Thank you in advance!

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that your HP Pavilion x360 notebook screen is popping out from the case cover.
It is hardware related issue with the Hinge assembly and in order to fix this issue, your computer needs to be serviced. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.
I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance. Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
