Hi,
The touchpad of my " HP Pavilion x360 convertible 14 -dy0xxx" is not working. The HID I2C device show me an error (yellow triangle with escalation point). And I can't see any synaptics driver. The laptop is running windows 11 22H2
I tried to:
-update driver (from everywhere, support ass., hp site ecc)
-uninstall driver
-restore windows
In the deivce manager the i2c hid device gets the warning icon when i do the windows update and then the touchpad is not working. Please help me fix this without telling me to do updates as i did all the possible updates.
Issues after touch pad failure found.
1) Driver in mouse advance setting get missing.
2) Unable to open Synaptics app to roll back
3) In few instant it work with PC restart or re installing the driver but at the same time it go off in 15 to 20 mins while working.
thanks in advance

I suggest that you temporarily workaround the issue with a mouse.
You should use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility that was delivered with your laptop.
Power on the notebook and immediately tap the F2 key to invoke the diagnostics.
Choose Component tests and then click on Mouse/Touchpad and run both tests.
Keep us in the loop by letting us know the result of the testttt

I am going to ask internally where the Synaptic touchpad driver for Win 11 22H2 is.
