Hi @Shas-shafi,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding touchpad issues on the HP Pavilion x360 with Windows 11 Version 24H2!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Ensure the Touchpad is Enabled:
- Double-tap the area on your touchpad that could serve as an on/off button. Ensure the On/Off light is not amber, indicating that the touchpad is enabled.
Verify Device Presence in Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager (you can do this by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Device Manager").
- Look for the touchpad under "Mice and other pointing devices."
- If it’s not listed, try scanning for hardware changes by selecting "Action" > "Scan for hardware changes."
Install the Latest Touchpad Driver:
- Visit HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads and search for your HP Pavilion x360 model to find the appropriate driver.
- Download and install the latest available touchpad driver.
Adjust Touchpad Settings:
- Access Control Panel > Mouse settings. Adjust touchpad settings as needed.
Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:
- Turn off your device and power it back on. Press F2 during boot-up to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Navigate to Component Tests > Mouse Test > Pointer Test & Drag and Drop Test to check the touchpad function.
Check Physical Connections (For Technicians):
- Verify if there’s any damage or loose connection of the touchpad cables. If necessary, reseat or replace the touchpad.
Update Windows:
- Run Windows Update to ensure your system is up to date with the latest patches, which may affect touchpad functionality.
BIOS Update:
- Sometimes updating the BIOS can resolve hardware detection issues. Go to HP's BIOS update page and follow the instructions.
I hope this helps.

This may sound weird, but I downloaded Windows 10 64bit Elan clickpad driver in Windows 11 and now HP Pavilion x360 -14-ba075tx Synaptics touchpad driver has appeared back in the device manager and it's enhancements like scroll, pich, zoom all working fine in Windows 11. FINALLY explored solution THAT WORKED
