Hi,

after I found out that I can charge my Pavillion using its USB-C port I used charger and cable of my Xiaomi cell phone. This works slow but without problems. But this cable is only one meter long. So I ordered a 2 meter cable but this won't charge my laptop although it charges my phone. I read a bit about this matter and found an article that mentioned that there are 5 ampere cables that could work. So I ordered one of these. Again: it charges my phone, but still no success with my laptop. So any hints which 2m USB-C cable would work?

Thanks for your help!

Cable alone won't do the job. You need a charger itself with enough wattage rating to charge your machine. What is it ?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your reply! Like I wrote it works with this charger on the 1 meter cable but not on the 2 meters. I attached a pic of chargers specs, maybe you can have a look.

Very hard to read letters but looks like its max is 33W. I did ask you: what is your machine ? Your machine may require 65W or more therefore 33W is not enough.

As I said before, cable won't help, you fill 33 lit of water to a bucket using 2m hose, it doesn't matter how big the hose is, you can only get 33 lit of water at the other end.

It's a HP Pavilion x360 14-dy0210ng (Intel Pentium Gold 7505).

It does charge with this charger, but only with the 1m cable. So there seems to be something different with the USB cables, doubt it comes only from length.
