Microsoft Windows 11

I own a HP Pavillion 14-dv2015TU laptop. When turns on the system, it shows Cooling fan not working. Why is it happening within just 1 year of purchase? How much it will cost to reoair cooling fan?

Hi @msmohandas,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you have trouble using the PC, getting a cooling fan error, and not able to use the device, “sorry to hear about the issue,

Please try the BIOS Restore first, and then try updating the BIOS to the latest F.15 Rev.A and let us know.

Check for any obstructions: Make sure that there is no dust, dirt, or other debris blocking the fan. If there is, clean it out carefully.

  • Check the power source: If your laptop is not getting enough power, the fan may not work properly. Check to make sure that the laptop is plugged in and charging.
  • Check the fan settings: Some laptops have the fan control software that allows you to adjust the fan speed. Make sure that the settings are not preventing the fan from running.

    BIOS Restore:
    1) Shutdown the computer keep the  charger plugged
    2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
    3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B button until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
    4) Follow on-screen instructions and click on OK

Please update the BIOS from the HP Website, and let me know

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
