I bought a brand new HP Pavilion 15-cs0053cl (HP Pavilion laptop 15-cs0xxx 8th Generation intel core i5 1.6GHz Win 10
bios version - F.07, 12/11/2018) but immediately I connected the charger that came with the laptop to the charging port and powered it on the charging light kept blinking white (3 short blinks) continuously when I shut down the computer and disconnected the charger the charging light still kept blinking (3 short white blinks) continuously till the next day It has not stopped blinking since the first power on. The laptop has an integrated battery that cannot be removed.
When I shutdown the laptop the charging light still keeps blinking white. I took a look at the battery status before shutting down the battery it was 93% full when I powered it on the next day it was 90% which shows that the blinking light is depleting the battery
When I checked the battery status it displays "Plugged in, Charging" The battery actually charged till it was full after using the computer for a while I charged it again and it still charged till it was full. However when the laptop is powered down and the charger is connected it does not charge.
Please help, I am concerned that this may be a faulty motherboard problem that might cause some kind of problems later. I will appreciate any suggestion
