Hello,
Yesterday, I used my fully charged laptop until the low battery notification showed up then I continued using it while charging. I stopped charging it when I went to bed but I didn't notice the battery percentage. The next day, I used my laptop while charging. I do tend to use my laptop while plugged in. Only in the evening did I notice my battery was stuck at 75%. I tried a few tips I found online but they didn't work and in the process, the battery went down by 2% so now I'm stuck with my laptop battery at 73%. What do I do? Should I be worried? Does my laptop need fixing?
My laptop model is HP Pavilion 15-cs0xxx and BIOS F.23.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
- 1. Go to Start, search for Device Manager, and open this result.
- 2. Expand batteries.
- 3. Right-click on the ACPI option (usually the 2nd option) and select delete or uninstall. Follow the prompts.
- 4. Shut down the computer.
- 5. Disconnect the charger.
- 6. Remove the battery. (only for removable battery)
- 7. Hold down the power button for 1 minute.
- 8. Insert the battery only. (only for removable battery)
- 9. Attempt to turn the battery on.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you @Echo_Lake for your kind reply.
No, this did not happen after an update.
For an update, with the help of my more tech-savvy friend, I tried some methods and one of the methods included the steps that you kindly shared with me. However, it did not solve the problem, so I ended up going to a local service centre. It turned out that there was actually a fault with the battery itself.
Again, thank you for your helping hand!
