HI ,

I have a Pavilion 15 with NO Optane memory.  have the 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD  HDD.  I wanted to know since I have no Optane Memory can I add a 2nd HDD?

Hi,

Can you provide the exact model or product number of the PC for further help (not serial). Here is how to find it:

Model number

The Optane and M2 PCIe SSD go into the same slot, so one or the other is possible. Depending on the model you might be able to insert a 2.5" HDD/SSD in the notebook. Usually, the best solution, if you need more space, would be to replace the 512GB M2 PCIe SSD with a higher capacity one such as the Samsung 970 Evo Plus or similar. There is no limit to the capacity of the SSD.

Thanks for the response it is a  15t-CS200 CTO.  I wanted have two drive to separate the OS from somethings I am doing with Hyper -V
