I always enjoy helping forum members get older PCs to continue to work in today's day and age.

 

That DVD playing software should work on any older HP notebook that came with a DVD player.

 

It will not work if the notebook did not come with one.

 

Unfortunately, you are not at a high enough forum level to be able to add attachments to posts.

 

Here is the info regarding what you can do at each level:

 

In order to be able to attach something to a post, you have to be at a level 6.

You could always copy and paste what you write to a post you make.

 

We have a forum member who loves to upgrade PC's and writes occasional reports about his projects.

 

Here are two such examples:
