Hi:
Unfortunately, you can't update the BIOS on that model when running on Windows 10.
You can only update the BIOS in XP or Vista, or there is a 100% chance of bricking the notebook due to a failed BIOS update.
HP retired support for that model series since it is more than 10 years old, which is why you can't find any drivers for it.
If you can install XP or Vista, here are the info and exe file links to the last BIOS update HP released for that model series:
F.34

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52001-52500/sp52477.exe
If you can't install XP or Vista, DO NOT update the BIOS.

You're very welcome.
Yes, you can go back to W10 after you update the BIOS in XP.
If you need help finding any drivers after you reinstall W10, let me know.
You have to manually install the Vista drivers because those are the newest ones available, such as for the graphics and coprocessor.

For Windows 7 and newer, you have to manually install the Vista chipset (coprocessor), and Nvidia graphics drivers.
Here are the links to the Vista 64 bit chipset and graphics drivers...
Chipset
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37501-38000/sp37730.exe
Graphics
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp42501-43000/sp42635.exe
To manually install the drivers, I will give you the step-by-step directions to install the chipset driver, and then do the same thing for the graphics driver.
Run the chipset driver. It will not install the coprocessor device.
Go to the device manager. Click on the coprocessor device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers option,' and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp37730.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
Do the same thing for the graphics driver, except you may get an unsupported operating system error.
Close out of any error windows.
Go to the device manager, click to expand the Display adapters device manager category.
Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter listed there.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers option,' and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
