Hi, I am trying to work out how to use my pen properly. I have the HP tilt pen, model HP P/N 929863
All the online instructions seem to be for different models.
For example, when I go in to MS Whiteboard and write something, I think I ought to be able to erase by reversing and using the top of the pen, but it doesn't work. How can I erase using the pen?

Hello @JR183,
Could you make sure that the pen is fully charged and is paired to the laptop in Bluetooth settings? Here's a Quick Setup Guide.
Furthermore, once it's paired, go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink. You can configure the top button there.
Also, could you please post the specific product name or product number of the laptop? E.g. HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0028ca or 5MT98UA#ABL
Information on how to find a laptop's product name or product number is detailed in this HP document. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Community. The difference between a product number and a serial number is that the product number contains a # sign)
Kind regards,
Eddy

It is fully charged and paired.
The setting option gives me a choice for the top button to be used for screen snipping or to launch whiteboard. But when I am in a drawing app like Whiteboard I cant reverse the pen and use the top as an eraser, which I see other people doing in videos.
At the moment I can barely see the point of the pen TBH.

Ok, I don't own an HP Tilt Pen so I can't really test it for myself but I believe the use of the top as an eraser is application-specific.
As for the Microsoft Whiteboard application, just want to check, is the Active pen setting enabled?
Also, just want to confirm if you installed the Tilt Pen driver or not:
HP Tilt Pen Driver (Windows 10 v1903)
Description:
This package provide the service and filter driver that enable thetilt feature of active pen in supported notebook models that arerunning a supported operation system.
