I very recently purchased the Envy x360 convertible 15, which came with the 1MR94AA HP Pen. I have tried on numerous occasions to get the pen working, but to no avail, It has not worked once. It never comes up on the bluetooth discovery list. "tapping the pen on any surface"does nothing. I even changed the battery from the one that came with it, with a brand new one. Nothing.
I am loathe to take this back to the store to have it looked at by a repair agent, as it is my work laptop, and I've only had it a week, and I know that they will want the laptop as well as the defective pen. Is there ANYTHING else I can try to make this thing work??
Thanks
Frustrated.

Hi! @Skittlesnz, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you have issues connecting the stylus to your laptop.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Did you get the HP active pen along with your PC?
Please share the product number of your laptop to assist you better.
As you mentioned you have issues connecting the stylus to your laptop.
This pen does not connect through Bluetooth. It works with the digitizer built in the screen.
It's an active stylus (also known as a digital stylus) uses a digitizer built into the screen to allow communication between the touch screen and the pen. An active stylus might support many or all of the functions supported by a mouse, such as right-click, hover, and more. Many active stylus models can block stray marks from your hand resting on the screen or the sweep of your palm while writing so that the screen only registers marks made by the pen.
To activate the pen just press tip of the pen on the screen when you are using windows ink or other compatible programs.
Also, try installing HP Pen Control software no your PC and check if it helps.
Update the pen control software using this link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp80001-80500/sp80343.exe
Also, if the issue persists try updating the BIOS and graphics driver on your PC using HP support assistant.

If the issue still persists try updating the Windows on your PC and check if it helps.
