Microsoft Windows 11

Hi there,

I've just got the HP ProBook 430 G8, and I was looking for battery advice.  Should I charge it for 24H and then how do you recommend using it so the battery can last for a long time? Should I have it plugged on at all times when working from home and only use it remotely when it's needed?  That's the first laptop I got in many years.

Hi:

According to HP, you should charge the battery for 24 hours.

This link should answer the questions you have.

Although I don't personally agree that it is perfectly fine to leave the notebook constantly plugged in 24-7.

There is a possible chance of battery swelling from leaving a notebook constantly plugged in to the charger.

See this link for additional information and other things you can do to maximize your batteries lifespan.
