Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

What is maximal RAM memory size on HP ProBook 445 G6 - model: 6MR47ES#BCM

Is it possible to mount 2x16GB modules?

There is written 16GB maximal memory - but isnt this only production maximal mountable amount?
What is maximal memory to upgrade? 16GB is too little i think for RYZEN 7 2700U cpus or?

Thanks for advice.

Well all we can officially say is 16 gigs is the maximum but it has been reported by many that the Ryzen systems will work fine with 2 x 16 gig modules = 32 gigs total of DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM. Many HP Manuals also list 16 gigs as the max for Intel Core 7th and 8th gen CPU models and those certainly can take 32 gigs.

There is a small risk in 32 gigs is all I can say...zero risk in 16 gigs. I checked Crucial and this model is too new so not listed there.

I do find memory vendors selling 16 gig modules for it which is consistent with what I know:

If it were my laptop and I thought I needed 32 gigs I would not hesitate to buy 2 x 16 gig modules despite the cost as I am comfortable it will work but I can't 100% guarantee to you it will work. Hope that makes sense.
