I replaced the battery for my HP ProBook 450 G3 and it does not charge. I went through the steps of updating the BIOS and uninstalling the Microsoft API battery devices. Still no luck.

Hi,

That result could mean one or more of a few things that could be the cause.

The power adapter has failed - does the power LED light up when plugged in?

the connector header on the laptop where the power adapter plugs into has failed -  inspect the header with a flashlight to see if the pin(s)  are/or is broken.

the power management circuit chip on the laptop's system boardhas failed - with a working power adapter plugged in, the laptop does not power on and/or the battery does not charge.

The battery connector for the new battery is not completely seated/connected - visually inspect it and reconnect it.
