Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought an HP ProBook 450 G6, Core i7-8565U 1.80GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 15.6"

Wondering if I can add

more Ram - is there a second slot?

add Optane memory?

already missing my fingerprint scanner from old laptop, can I buy one and add to this easily? I see what must be a punch out type spot for it on the new machine keyboard area?

Please note: HP Probook 250 G6 is a series of many models/products with many different options/configurations therefore one model may have many different things with other models.  The following answers may only for your machine

 

1. RAM: It supports 32 GB of RAM. Depending on your existing 8GB now (on 1 slot or 2 slot) you can have few options to upgrade. You can work out the number depending on what do you have now and buy RAM from the following link

 

    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/probook-450-g6

 

2. Optane:  Again Optane memory is an option, it MAY already have on your machine otherwise you can add Optane memory to your machine using part #

 

       16 GB, PCIe (Optane memory module)  part # L45122-001

 

3. Finger print:  The series does not offer Finger Print reader therefore no part # available.
