HP ProBook 460 16 inch G11 Notebook PC (8Z679AV)

My new laptop keeps freezing and it is super irritating. I have only had this for about a month and it has been consistently freezing on me. I then have to shut the computer off and turn it back on before I am able to do anything again. I have checked the BIOS and all updates are up to date. I checked that there were no updates needed for my trackpad/ mouse. I haven't downloaded any big files, I don't run an excessive number of things at the same time.

I am flummoxed. This should not be happening with a brand new laptop.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Same boat... Have you found any leads?

Nope, super frustrating. May try to factory reset it and see if that helps

I purchased the same Probook 2 months ago and it also does the same thing, especially if connected to the HP USB-C Dock.

Do all of your lock-ups happen while connected to the dock?

Maybe we're facing a faulty dock issue rather than laptop.

My group is all dock connected 99% of the time, so it will be difficult for us to rule out the dock if you have any insights.

Yes, it only happens when I am connected to the USB-C dock.

I think I have a new working theory, the lock ups only seem to happen when it is plugged in via the USB-C port (either charging or connected to my external monitor). I think there is something faulty in one of the ports (there are 2 and it only seems to happen when something is plugged into 1 of them). Seems like maybe a hardware issue.
