Hi everyone!

I need to replace Core i5-4200M (2c/4t, 2.5/3.1 GHz, 37W) in my notebook. I can buy profitably Core i7-4600M (2c/4t, 2.9/3,6 GHz, 37W). Will the laptop work normally?

Thanks everyone! I won this lottery. 😀

i7-4600M realy works with HP 470 G1, I confirm that. BIOS version 1.48. Perhaps this fact is still useful to someone.

Here is the Service Manual:

i7-4600M is not one of the listed processors. However it shares many characteristics with the i7-4702MQ that is supported. It's a bit of a gamble. HP will not provide any information about compatibility other than the list in the Service Manual. Sometimes CPUs not listed in the Manual will work, other times not. Likely it would, no way to say for sure. Sorry I can't help more.
