HP Recommended

Hi everyone,

I recently acquired an HP ProBook 650 G2. It’s running smoothly, except the touchpad isn’t working at all.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Performed a clean installation of Windows 10.

  • Installed all available Windows updates.

  • Downloaded and installed the touchpad driver from the official HP website.

  • Reset the BIOS to factory defaults, just in case there was a setting disabling the touchpad.

Despite all this, the touchpad still won’t work. It’s detected in Device Manager with the hardware ID 'ACPI\VEN_SYN&DEV_3031'. Also, when I check under 'Touchpad settings' in Windows, it shows that the laptop has a precision touchpad, so it’s definitely being recognized.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
