Hello again HP Community,
I now have the Laptop up and running partially as the system keeps telling me whenever I turn on the laptop that it needs to reset the BIOS Settings because of a problem with the CMOS Battery. I don’t where to find the CMOS Battery and replace it with a new one I have lying around but I’ve heard about the RTC Battery. Is it the same thing as the CMOS Battery? I did also find that the RTC Battery is missing. Where can I find a replacement? I’m looking forward to your responses. 😊

Hi:
Chapter 3, page 32, item 18 of the service manual provides the part number for the RTC (CMOS) battery as it is more commonly known as in a notebook.
RTC stands for Real Time Clock.
Chapter 4, page 71 has the RTC battery removal and replacement procedure.
I see one for sale on eBay.UK
