Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As in the subject line. Got a Probook 440 G5 and the fan just keeps screaming. It never rests, except when the laptop is off. No, it's not the temperatures, they are all well below 40 Centigrades. I bought mine second hand, and installed right Linux when I got it, never even booting to Windows before that. I thought the fan noise was a Linux specific thing (no drivers) but eventually got fed up with it and installed Windows 10 Pro  just to enjoy a bit quieter laptop. To my shock the noise is exactly the same. It never ends, and I think I'll soon sell this piece of cr@p unless I can make it quiet. Otherwise I like this model, it's beefy and light, even with a OK-ish display, but I just can not take the fan noise any more. Any ideas?

Hi:

Does it do that only when plugged in?

If so, there is a setting in the BIOS to disable 'Fan always on when on A/C power' setting.

If the fan runs constantly even when unplugged, unfortunately I wouldn't know what the problem could be either.
