Product: HP ProBook 440 G8 Notebook PC (2Q528AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
Hello fellow community members,
Can the BIOS on a Probook 440 G8 be flashed with a version that supports biometric devices? The laptop I purchased did not ship with a fingerprint reader (rather just the square plastic cover). I've since installed an HP supported finger reader in the slot now and it is plugged into the the motherboard, but no BIOS option exists to enable it. I currently have System BIOS T70 Ver.01.16.00 01/19/2024 installed; however it does not have the option to enable fingerprint reader in the BIOS. Likely wishiful thinking at this point, but would be nice to have biometric log-in enabled rather than use an external USB device.
Cheers!
