HP Probook 450 G5 (2rs03ea) M2 slot availability

Hi all!

Could anyone be so kind as telling if SSD M.2 slot in HP Probook 450 G5 (2rs03ea) is free and available?

It is stocked with 1TB HDD, and I wish to upgrade it with ADATA XPG SX8000 128GB I have on my hands.

HP Probook 450 G5 is a series on many machines/options/configurations.  Please check the following statemants with your machine

M.2 2280 SSD (NGFF)
Primary storage not required if primary M.2 storage selected
● 512 GB, PCIe, NVMe, TLC (not available with Celeron)
● 256 GB, PCIe, NVMe, value (not available with Celeron)

(a) Did you buy your machine with Primary storage option ?

(b) Does your machine have Celeron processor ?

If both YES, then your machine does not have spare M.2 slot

It doesn't arrive yet, waiting 3 more days until delivery.

2RS03EA modification means Intel i5-8250 + 1TB HDD.

So, as far as I understand, M.2 slot is free. Great!

You must notice that the M.2 slot in 450 g5 is nvme pcie gen3 x2. So if you have an ssd like nvme pcie gen3 x4 which are fastest one in the market, it will work with the half speed.
