Greetings,
I'm experiencing some troubles with my HDD and it seems that I will have to replace it. I would like to seize the occasion to upgrade to SSD and maybe RAM as well.
I went through internet and found some infos about the possibilities of doing so (especially for the SSD). However, I still dont know exactly which SSD model (caracteristics, regardless of the brand) best suits my machine.
I live in Tunisia, the available brands on the market are Sandisk and ADATA. So if you could tell me the needed specifications that I could find with these brands. I think that a 240-256 Go capacity would be enough since I barely used half of the installed 320 Go.
Here are my computer specifications:
Probook 4530s
i5-2430m @2.40GHz
4,0 GB RAM
HDD: WDC WD3200BEKT-60PVMT0 320 GB Transfer mode: SATA/300
Windows 7 64bit
Thank you in advance.

Your Service Manual:
See pages 49 and 52-55 for "how to".
You have 4 gigs of RAM and max is 8. This is the part number for 4 gig module:
4-GB 621569-001
I know you can't use US Amazon.com but this is the kind of memory you need:
DDR3-1333 1.5 volt SO-DIMM and it should be low density i.e. 8 black blocks of memory on the side of the chip not 4.
As far as the SSD, you can use any 2.5 inch wide SATA SSD. Between SanDisk and Adata I would go Sandisk but that is not a strong preference. Either would work. The issue you are likely to face is getting software onto the new blank drive. Do you have some kind of recovery media or a backup available?

Thanks for the reply. I believe that this would do.
Regarding software on the blank SSD, i already saved all of my files to an external HDD. And I have a Win 7 disc. Is that what you mean (what i would need?)
Thank you
