I own an HP ELITE X2 1013 G4.
It came with an HP RECHARGEABLE ACTIVE PEN G3.
I can't configure the TOP AND BOTTOM buttons for functions.
I installed the HP CONTROL PEN and it says my computer is not compatible.
I cannot resolve this demand through HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT.

Have you gone to the Pen settings APP?

That is what controls your Active pen.

Is the pen fully charged?

If the Pen settings app is not present, let me know and I will ask the  HP Subject Matter Experts how to find, download and install it.

Troubleshooting the touchscreen stylus/ Pen

Does the pen work?

Is it recognized by the OS?

Consider reinstalling the driver. There is a hyperlink below.

Hello,

Thanks for the solution.

I would like some more help.

My equipment is an HP ELITE X2 G4 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8365U hybrid convertible notebook.

Its original factory specifications provide for the operation of the HP Sure View feature, including a specific command key on its native keyboard that came with the notebook (activated by the F2 key).

As the F2 key did not result in the screen saver activity operating when activated, I searched for and installed the HP SURE VIEW program, but when run it returned the response that my computer does not support this feature.

I would like help from the HP Community because I understand that my equipment has provision for this support and I imagine that I must find a specific drive.

In fact, I had the same type of difficulty with the pen that came with it, the HP Pen G3 Rechargeable, and I was only able to resolve it with the help of the forum, which gave me the correct drivers to install the exact program (Digital Pen Settings).
