HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-aa0000 (7M3L2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to use my hp spectre x360 with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface but the sound is crackling and static-y and stuff. This doesn't happen when I plug my audio interface into my phone or my iPad; both work perfectly fine. This is definitely a problem with my laptop and I don't know how I can solve it, also tried buying an active USB hub just incase the laptop doesn't deliver enough power to the sound card but that didn't work either.

Also tried using another sound card with the laptop and the same crackling was present.

Also when the audio starts crackling, my mouse also lags.

turns out it was an issue of poor screening, my monitor causes EMF interference with the laptop for some reason. Plugged the monitor to a further plug, solved the issue.

Definitely you need a driver for your sound card. Please contact its vendor to get one.

That is not the problem, I already have an up-to-date driver.

If it was a driver problem, It would not affect my mouse, which is also conencted via USB. (Check the last part of my post.)

Sorry, I'm talking about driver/software for the Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface, not your computer.
