Hi

Sorry dude. The guys from the HP maintenance and support shop opened my laptop and they said that there is NO M.2 slot, and not only that they also said if I want to put aditioan SSD i will have to remove my DVDROM becouse there is no SATA empty port as well. But when u open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology app it says that there is 2 internal empty ports 🙂

Regards

Sorry indeed. Then the Manual is flat wrong. I will see if we can get an explanation from HP (no promises).

Wow, this really sucks. I checked the manual before I bought this laptop for this exact reason.

Thanks for the replies. At least I know what my options are now (not many).

There is no slot where you indicated, and yes, I can insert an SD card fine. Here are a few pics of the mb:

Yes that is significantly different than the image I posted and I also can see no M.2 slot. I apologize to anyone who relied on my assurance but I did in turn rely on the HP Manual, which is ordinarily solid.

Thanks everyone for the help. I decided to just replace the factory HD with a 1 TB SSD. Seems like the best option.

THERE IS NO M2 SLOT, THE MANUAL IS WRONG!!! AND HP HAVE NEVER FITTED ONE, OR THEY WILL KNOW THERE ISN'T ONE.

You can only upgrade to a SSD, (2TB), like I did.
