I am facing battery drain issue while laptop is shut down.

 

I saw some thread saying the issue is resolved by Sphinx fix but could not able to find fix to download. 

is anyone have the fix please share here.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the battery issue. 

 

To better assist you - May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

 

While you respond to that, I'd suggest you try testing and calibrating the battery. Refer to this document for steps - HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows)

 

Try updating the computer - 

 

Step 1 Windows Updates - 
1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates. 
2) Check for updates. 
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates - 
1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant. 
2) Check for updates. 
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

Also, try updating the BIOS - HP Consumer Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS (Basic Input Output System)

I already tried this solution and does not work, as per other posts in this forum I learned that only Sphinx work. But all the download links are dead.

 

I just looking if anyone has Sphinx fix link or reference.
