HP Spectre x360 15" df0001nv
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.

I just bought an HPHello.
I just bought an HP spectre gem cut edition with the df0001nv configuration. I was pretty excited since I had my parents go to an agreement with the store to pay with installations so I could get it. But when I started using it, I was greeted by one of the most frustrating experiences with tech items. The screen was bad. Not bad in quality, but it behaved almost like a TN panel. A circle of light would form where you looked, and everywhere else it'd be dark. Especially in vertical mode. The colors where weirdly popping in and out all the time. I thought of returning it but upon having also a bad hinge, I did.
At the store though, they deemed that the screen had no issue and it was like this with every unit! As I searched online it seems that this is the issue with the sureview technology and the screen is just bad.
The main thing is that after some hours of use my eyes were hurting real bad. But the store says that it is the only configuration that HP has sent them (I'm in Greece).
And last but not least, I've contacted local HP support and the only thing they suggested was to buy a laptop from a different brand!
So, is there any way to "kill" the filter altogether or maybe have a replacement from HP overseas? This is such a disappointment especially since it causes health issues and my money is already spent on it.
Thanks for taking the time to read about my issue.

@GeoKou,

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

OK thank you. Should I wait for the email before opening my laptop?
