Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This subject with rubber strips is already "solved" many times, here....mine was accepted 4 times at service center and on 5th they ask for 120€ as they remembered about this is not a warranty matter.

But, as I read here, this is a common problem and because this matter can't be treated under a "minor" failure ( as without proper rubbers the laptop can't breathe), I am thinking to use "the offer of 120€" to open a nice debate under the EU law regarding Consumer.

Of course, without any doubt, this is a design failure and what is very interesting is that the new line of HP has exactly the same rubber strips.

Anyone else opened a formal dispute about this subject?

OK, I will send all data and documents that I received from HP Spain.

This was my son main tool for CS course and because he just finished the holiday, I was forced to buy a new laptop.

Now I have time and motivation for all formally proceedings.

Thank you,

My laptop is still in custody of warranty center. They promise me that on Monday I will have it back, so I can send all data requested.

Thank you,

You are very powerful, señor!

HP Madrid call me and a very nice guy explained that my S/N was never registered as repaired....so maybe is just a seller scam - seller is the biggest retail in Spain, bla, bla. For this kind of scams, there is competent authority here, so subject closed.

I received my laptop with back plate exchanged, together with rubber strips.

For now and for throwing on eBay is the best solution

But, because you are so powerful, let me postpone the "Accept as solution"" button and let me try to use you further for solving the real issue.

Please find a way, pull some strings, to change the material of the rubber.

I am an engineer and, the same as the rest of Spectre users, I can easily judge the conformity of the rubber strips. Is not about glue, as glue is based on absence of oxygen in the bond line...and when the rubber strips become hot, they change dimensions and because are not compatible with this kind of application, the oxigen came in, etc ...

A lot of resources is waisted, a lot of brand awareness as well when in fact the toy is very useful and quite powerful.

What do you think?

Muchas gracias, anyway!
