HP Spectre Rechargeable Mouse 700

I'm having a tough time trying to report a fault with my Spectre Mouse 700 and the HP dashboard warranty remaining figure does not match the actual product details. 

Is anyone else having issues with their mouse not charging and not working without cable plugged into USB?

 

First the mouse didn't report that it was fully charged - stuck at 70% but worked

Now the power suddenly dropped from 14% to 2% but plugging it into the laptop no longer works a

I did try recharging over night on a usb charger but mouse flashes red. With the cable in and bluetooth on I get a solid white light but USB port is on the wrong side so the cable is uncomfortable to use.

 

Would I be correct in thinking that with 4 months left on my warranty I should be able to exchange for a new one?

I see that there is an issue with the Mouse hardware and may need replacement.

The support here is limited to troubleshooting and this issue might require one-on-one interaction to assist you further.
