I had to Replace my battery, it was swelling. Second replacement, since I have had it. Purchased and installed an OEM HP Battery, Unit booted right up, I did get an error about the BIOS, which it just reset, then I updated it once the PC was up and running. (Didn't think much of it since power was 100% removed) The Battery charged fine, up to 100% no issues. Then the next morning I noticed the Charge light was flashing white, and the battery was not charging, so I reset the computer by holding the power down to force the shutdown, and it charged again up to 100% no issue. So I figured I would run it all the way down, then do a full charge, what I understand as a Manual self calibration. Again it charged fine up to 100%, then the flashing light. It knows it is plugged in, but just not charging, I think it will operate fine plugged in, basically holding the battery level, not discharging, but not charging either.
The only odd thing I see is windows knows the battery is there, and charging, and time left, while HP Support assistant says there is no battery, However running the HP PC and Hardware software in both startup and in windows results in all Good passing and specs for the battery. Shows build date, that it is HP, serial number, voltages, etc....
Just not sure what to do at this point, as its not really practical to force a reboot every time I get a full charge.

Can Anyone Assist? The company sent me a replacement, and Its the same issue. I noticed today After looking cloely at each battery, that even though they look the same, the part Numbers are the same, the Pulg Wire Color order is different.
Is that normal, or is that an issue?

So After some additional Checking, I found that the reason I'm Likely getting the CMOS Error, is the origianl Batter in my PC has 3V between Pins 3 and 7, and the new one has ZERO, So Somehow these must not be genuine, even though they really look it... Where can I purchase a battery that will work?
