Spectre X360

HP,

please tell me there is a resolution for this motherboard issue that won’t cost me an arm and a leg. Please tell me I did not spend over $1000 on a laptop that only lasted a year and a few months! Please!!

I’ve owned my HP Spectre for a little over a year. Now all the sudden the mother board has burned. I’ve taken it to 4 different repair shops and they say they can’t fix the mother board issue and recommend I just buy a new laptop. I rely on this laptop for work which is why I saved up and spent over $1000 on a laptop. I don’t just have money lying around to go out and get a brand new laptop nor should I have to because this was an investment that HP knew there was widespread motherboard issues with yet kept on the market for someone like me to purchase and rely on.

I spent $1000+ for this laptop to only last 1 year and a few months. Even worse, looking at the HP  chat boards online, it seems that this has been a common issue for several years and HP continues to sell the laptops with the problematic motherboards. I’d like to think that a company like HP cares about screwing their customers out of thousands of dollars.

Please help!
