Hi,
I received my HP Spectre a week ago for school, and I've started to notice some loud creaking whenever a tiny amount of force is applied to the palm rests. There were a few other manufacturing defects on the product, such as a tiny metal protrusion on one of the gem cuts, the side of the notebook flexing a bit around the webcam privacy switch, but I wouldn't expect something like this creaking to happen this early into the use. It's been treated very carefully and was packed well in shipping.
Does anyone else have this problem? I think it might be worth contacting support. I'll see how it goes.
I'd expect very good reliability in the build for a notebook this expensive.
