You're great. I've been dealing with this for hours. Completely reinstalled windows, searched all the forums, etc.

Thank you so much. I have the same isssue with my Spectre but your solution is great. My laptop now shut down normally.

You are better 1000 times than the HP supporters , they only ask like a machine and suggest the customer to pay .
