Product: HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0023dx

Our HP Spectre X360 Convertible is completely dead.  No power indicators.  It's a doorstop!  Local laptop service center is advising it needs a motherboard replacement. Was purchased in March 2020.  I didn't expect such an expensive, in my opinion, laptop to need a motherboard replacement in just under 3 years.  I'd like to SPEAK with someone at HP to see if they agree - and could possibly work something out with me to get a motherboard replaced at a reasonable cost.  Yet, to SPEAK with anyone at HP when the product is out of warranty, it seems you have to pay them.  Does anyone have another suggestion before I just start posting my frustration with HP on social media?
