HP Spectre X360 13-4126na

My second laptop suddenly stopped charging. It has some juice left (like 14%) so it powers up but when I connect the power adapter nothing happens. Laptop doesnt charge and the light next to the power jack doesnt turn on.

I tried power resseting (hold power button for 15 sec or more)
Put the power adapter and let it for a whole day
Entered bios and did a diagnostic with everything on power passing
Checked the power adapter with a polymeter and it returns 19 volt.

Any ideas? Could the power jack in the laptop just fail?

Thank you

I reviewed your post and I understand that the battery is not getting charged.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

As you have mentioned that you have tested the AC adapter and it is working fine. It looks like an issue with the charging board on the laptop and I recommend you contact support and they will assist you with the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
