Hello,

My wife's laptop motherboard has apparently failed. I took it to a approved HP repair center for diagnostic. The motherboard is not letting the laptop charge so the technician has recommended that the motherboard be replaced. the cost of the repair and part is going to be half the price of the original cost which is unacceptable for a laptop that got use maybe got 3 days out of the week.  I looked up this problem and apparently its a big issue with this laptop. Of course its not in warranty any longer but I wish HP had a recall to fix this issue because apparently it happened soon into the laptop's life cycle.

So my question is, if you have had this issue, what did you do to fix it? Did anyone fix this themselves? If so where did you get the motherboard parts? Im looking for any information.

Thank you

I have not done this repair but you can always find parts on Ebay.
