Hi,

 

I have HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl112dx and it is working fine. It is out of warranty. I found that my battery has expanded causing the trackpad non-operational and also the laptop is not getting closed properly. I did a diagnostic test and everything is working fine no issues are reported even with the battery.

 

I found the part number of the battery is 902499-856 but I am not able to order it. Can someone guide me on how I can order batteries from the HP Parts site? Also is there any option for upgrade to the new HP Spectre by trade-in?

HP Recommended

HP is not going to carry that battery any more in its store. You need to order from a 3rd party site. We can help with that and installation instructions. You need to get the swollen battery out of the laptop ASAP. HP has a trade-in program but its for enterprise customers with large lots, not individual consumer customers. You might be able to sell the laptop on Craigslist or similar site but I would think it would be necessary to replace the battery and get the trackpad working first.
