HP Spectre x360 - 15-df0013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop is experiencing battery bloat so I need to remove the battery. However, there are only TWO screws on the back side (about halfway back on the left and ride sides). I've removed the rubber "feet" in both the back and front and there are NO screws underneath (like I see on EVERY SINGLE RESOURCE I have found).

I can't believe the base is on with just those two screws, but I can't find any others. I don't want to try to pry the back off in case I am missing something. ANY help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want the battery issue to damage other components.

Thanks!

Hello @JamesG50

In many cases, there is another adhesive (black) film under the rubber, which must also be carefully removed to be able to see the screws. As already written, take your time and check everything again and read the linked instructions carefully.

Kind regards

I just added a photo. There are NO screws under the rubber feet, just the ones on each side (two in total) is all I have found.

It was the second shiny black adhesive strip over the screws. It just looked like plastic.

Thanks!
